Access and use

Seqwater has numerous sites across south east Queensland that can be enjoyed by the public for recreational pursuits. These sites are generally open to the public from sunrise to sunset.

With the exception of the designated camping grounds, you are not permitted to access the areas outside these times unless you have a permit to do so.

When you visit

We would like all visitors to our facilities to enjoy their stay. As such we would ask that all visitors observe the following:
  • Please leave the facilities as you found them. Do not cause damage to any property, flora or fauna.
  • Respect the fact that other visitors are using the facilities too. Please behave in an orderly, decent manner and keep any noise to a volume that will not cause a nuisance.
  • Please place all litter in the bins provided. Remember that these areas feed our drinking water supply. Do not discharge any substances that may pollute these areas.

Keeping visitors safe

The safety of our visitors is important to us. For your safety and the safety of others we would ask that all visitors observe the following:
  • Please comply with all the signs displayed, including traffic signs and parking.
  • Keep an eye out for hazards including for example, uneven surfaces, glass or metal on the ground, submerged or floating objects in the water.
  • Do not start a fire (except in a designated fireplace) or leave a fire unattended
  • Do not leave a water tap running.
  • Do not undertake any activity that is likely to interfere with the safety of others

If you are at all concerned with any of the facilities at our recreational areas, please email recreation@seqwater.com.au or talk to one of the on-site Rangers.

All vessels are to be operated in:

  • the designated area, for example, a “motor boat” is not to be operated in a “swimming” area, or in an area that will interfere with the conduct of an organised event
  • accordance with the instructions of Seqwater staff and Rangers as appropriate.

Different types of vessels are permitted at different sites. If you are unsure if a particular vessel or recreational activity is permitted at a site, please check the Activities by Location page, contact Seqwater at recreation@seqwater.com.au or talk to one of the on-site Rangers.
