Boating, camping and fishing are popular recreational activities across Seqwater’s dams and lakes.
 
A variety of permits and regulations apply for boating and fishing. It’s also important to make the necessary bookings if you’re planning on camping.
 
Please note, domestic animals (including dogs) are not permitted at most recreational areas, including Wivenhoe, Somerset and North Pine.
 
The following information and links are provided as a guide to help plan your trip.

Fishing

Fishing permits and regulations

Department of Primary Industries and Fishing (DPI&F) controls the rules and regulations regarding fishing. DPI&F runs the Stocked Impoundment Permit Scheme (SIPS).
 
Please note, North Pine Dam (Lake Samsonvale) joined SIPS on 2 April 2009.

Hinze Dam

Hinze Dam is not part of the SIPS. The fishing permit system for Hinze Dam is administered by the local fish stocking association.
